About Me
Hi, my name's Jen Williams, but you might know me as Pyro. I'm a digital artist specializing in cryptids and other dark fantasy illustrations. Nice to meet you!
I've always had a deep interest in all things mysterious and paranormal, as well as a profound love of art.  I'm also from the Pine Barrens of Southern New Jersey, home of the Jersey Devil. So in 2014 when I started painting a series of cryptids, I was thrilled to connect with so many people who share my passion.  This series also essentially helped me be able to launch my freelance career. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work with many great people on several really cool projects, from book covers, video game assets and board games, to private commissions and even TV. Some of the work I've done includes illustration for several games with Shoot Again Games, work for the Travel Channel's Mysteries at the Museum, and several pieces for the Tubi Original Documentary "Scariest Monsters in America" by Streetcar Entertainment. To this day, I continue to paint cryptids for my ongoing series, and other dark art for my own projects as well.
So what's next? I want to continue making cool fantasy creatures! I would love to work on a creepy themed tabletop RPG, TCG, or oracle deck. My family and I are really into game night, so my dream is to one day work with Wizards of the Coast on creating something for DnD or Magic the Gathering.

Testimonials
"Shoot Again Games has worked with Jen Williams on multiple projects, several with her as the lead artist. She is extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. We would happily use Jen on any projects we do and I can't recommend her highly enough."
-Diane Sauer of Shoot Again Games

"We were thrilled to feature Jen's illustrations in our feature-length cryptids documentary. Her colorful depictions and attention to detail helped to bring each character to life, and her ability to take notes and make quick turnarounds was also much appreciated on a tight TV schedule. Look forward to finding future opportunities to work together soon."
-Maggie Mock, Executive Producer at Streetcar Entertainment

"First off, the end products (Book covers) are wonderful, and communicating with Pyro Helfier was great, quick, responsive and efficient. If you need more convincing, then I will go on to say that the detail, creativity and insight into my needs and my fictional lands and characters was great. Pyro Helfier was willing to go the extra mile in my request for art and took additional time that others may not have in order to work with me on my projects. The results speak (or show...) for themselves and have a quality of style and 'hand drawn' aspects that others may not deliver who merely recycle and mix in stock, past, or open source art resources. Commission prices were fair and transparent with no nickel and diming or other such nonsense. I look forward to continuing to work with Pyro Helfier for any of my further commissioned art needs. "
-J.P. Andrews, Author: The Sisters of the Spires Series
